Well fiafia has two meanings, well the first meanings is that fiafia is a traditional way to celebrate all of our culture and heritages.The key competencies that apply to fiafia are practicing and contributing, relating to others also Managing yourself  

Fiafia means happy, big Idea is to celebrate, specifically,all of our cultures and heritages. We held our first Fiafia in the mid 90s’ but did not hold them regularly. We began to do this regularly because we realised we need to give our community of learners more ways in which to celebrate success and in particular to celebrate who are as people.
